What You Need to Know About Shipping Delays Due to Recent U.S. Customs Changes
At The Moroccan Bakery, we take pride in creating beautiful, handcrafted treats—and in making sure they arrive on time and in perfect condition.
That’s why we want to share a quick update about a recent issue affecting some of our U.S. shipments.
What’s happening?
Due to recent changes in U.S. customs policy—including the removal of the de minimis exemption—orders entering the U.S. may now experience delays at customs. Border agencies appear to be working through a growing backlog, which has slowed the clearance process for many cross-border shipments.
What this means for you
If you're placing an order for delivery to the United States, please be aware that your package may experience a delay in customs, even if it leaves our bakery on time.
The good news is: all shipments are still being delivered—they’re just taking longer than usual to move through the customs process.
What we’re doing
Our production timelines remain unchanged—we continue to fulfill and ship every order with care and speed. We're also closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with our courier partners to advocate for quicker release of held packages.
We’ll update this post with new information as it becomes available.
Planning for an event or special occasion?
If your order is for a gift, celebration, or other time-sensitive occasion, please feel free to reach out before ordering—we’ll work with you to find the best timing or alternative options.
Our commitment to you
We’ve built our business on quality, transparency, and superior customer service. Even when circumstances are out of our hands, our focus remains on keeping you informed and supported.
Thank you for your continued trust.
Warmly,
The Moroccan Bakery Team
