This cookie is simply Moroccan culinary artists having fun.  You can clearly see influences from other Mediterranean countries (like the half-cannoli shape).  This dessert takes on many elements of traditional Moroccan cookies: there is the sweet almond based filling, the honey based glaze throughout, orange blossom, and topped with a half walnut.  What it means to you is a great dessert that goes down well in any occasion.
